Moisture Monitoring
and Measurement

Online moisture monitoring systems help gins attain optimal moisture as cotton flows through the gin. These systems are evaluated based on the following criteria:

Does the system have an approved incoming moisture sensor?

Does it have an approved after-drying moisture sensor?

Does it have an approved bale moisture sensor?

Does it automatically control heater temperatures?

Does it control the moist air generator for the lint conditioning system (if applicable)?

Does it record data for at least the past 12 hours?

Qualified operators, training, and personnel oversight
