-
Members are rated at their request and only in the certification levels they select.
-
Each member elects which ratings they want published.
-
Ratings are on a scale of 0 to 1.0
-
Because the ratings must cover a wide range of technologies in a gin, a 1.0 rating is reserved for systems that fulfill maximum potential and is difficult to obtain.
-
The rating system is designed such that an 'average' system (if present) in a Certified Cotton Gin would receive a rating of 0.5.
-
Gins outside of the program would have an average below 0.5.
-
To maintain consistency, each category has a score sheet.
-
These scoresheets are available on the website.
-
Members can dispute the rating and request a review involving the Advisory Board.
