Chris grew up in family that worked primarily with cotton gins. Upon earning a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering from Texas Tech University in 1981, he began his career with a Fortune 500 company as an automation specialist assisting a variety of industries, including the cotton industry. He has been back at Samuel Jackson, Incorporated since 1988 and has held the position of President since 1991. Over this period, he has visited approximately 1,000 cotton gins on five continents, with the goal of learning and sharing moisture control knowledge.

Chris is pleased to see the company he has dedicated his life to fulfill the role of Sponsor of the Certified Cotton Gin Program. His office is located in Lubbock, Texas. He is married and the father of three daughters.
